Katherine Fuller – Executive Assistant to the COO
Ms. Katherine Fuller holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on public management and urban & regional policy and planning from Grand Valley State University. She has over a decade of experience in State government beginning her career at the Michigan Department of Civil Rights investigating state and federal complaints of discrimination, and most recently serving at the Michigan Department of Education as the manager responsible for procurement and approval of food service contracts statewide for all schools and child care providers participating in the federal Child Nutrition Programs.
Prior to joining WDC, Ms. Fuller was the Director of Agency Relations at the United Way for Southeastern Michigan in Detroit, Michigan, providing strategic partnerships and grants to nonprofits and other community social service providers in the region. She is very passionate about the community and volunteers her time to support organizations focused on equity in the food system, health & basic needs, and is in the process of joining the board of First Step, Wayne County’s domestic violence shelter and provider of comprehensive support services.
