Michele Zimmerman – Vice President of IT & Cybersecurity
Michele Zimmerman is Waséyabek’s Vice President of IT & Cybersecurity. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology Project Management and a Master of Science in Technology Management, both from Davenport University. Michele has more than 20 years of technology experience across a variety of roles and industries, including in IT strategy, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, supply chain, and project management.
In her role at Waséyabek, Michele is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for the comprehensive strategy, management, and execution of all IT functions. She oversees IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, application support, data management, and digital innovation across all portfolio companies. She plays a vital role in enabling the organization to achieve its business goals through technological transformation, risk management, and operational excellence.
Prior to her role at Waséyabek, Michele was a technology executive for a global supply chain company, where she was a strategic partner delivering digital transformation over various industries, and acquisitions. She also served as a leader at a national non-profit association, where she spearheaded all technology for several major construction projects, ERP projects, network infrastructure, security, and applications.
Outside of work, Michele enjoys spending time with her husband, Rick, and her family. She has 4 children, and two German Shepherds. Rick and Michele love traveling for leisure as well as for fitness events.
