“Young John” Moguago, son of “Old” Moguago and grandson of Mogoagon, emerged as the head chief of the band upon the death of Sau-au-quett.

His birth date is not known for certain, but it was thought to be near 1795. At some point, Moguago was given the Christian name “John.”

He had no children and served as chief from about 1839 to 1863.
